The Fryeburg Fair is a big, no  really big deal.   According to the Conway Daily Sun,  there are over 3,000 campsites with over 500 campers,  400 plus vendors rigs and 300,000 to 350,000 in attendance each year.  The attractions include  over 3,000 show animals, rides, events, amusement food and live entertainment.   There are plenty of lodging opportunities in the heart of the fair, however,  for the best lodging experience, staying North of the fair grounds is a smart choice: where there is  little to no traffic going to and from the fair. This spectacular event is held on 185 acres in the Saco River Valley in the foothills of the White Mountains. The first Fryeburg Fair was in 1851.  It gradually expanded from a weekend event to four days and now 8 full days.
